This is Professor V. K. Hira, director of G.I.I. Project Prometheus, transmitting from Mars Base, 00.13 07/11/2203. This will be the only transmission we will be able to send with sufficient power to penetrate the chronogenic radiation clouds. Activate any recording devices you have operational immediately and copy and distribute this transmission to all survivors by whatever means you have still available. The exact nature of the catastrophe is still unclear. Limited observational data suggests that the transtemporal and interspacial anomalies ravaging the Earth are increasing in frequency and intensity. If means are available,I urge you to begin migration to Mars immediately. MBCS have increased efforts to construct sustainable habitation domes for all survivors who reach us. Mars welcomes you.
The future of human civilisation is uncertain. What is now certain is that we were forewarned by intelligences of unknown origin. Project Prometheus was set up to collate all archaeological and observational evidence and devise a means to communicate with these unknown benefactors. For the past 9 months we have been developing new interdimensional and transtemporal technologies resulting in the creation of the AF-774 Psycho-Spacial Transportation Suit and associated support devices.
A little under 36 hours ago, my colleague Dr. Jeremy Connor-Lees volunteered to pilot the first test of this revolutionary technology, in order to attempt contact with our unknown benefactors and find a way to halt the effects of the catastrophe that threatens our civilisation, maybe even our species itself. Slightly less than 3 seconds after activating the AF-774, Dr.Connor-Lees vanished from physical existence. Approximately half a second later, the Mental Stimulation Drive recorder stopped recording any further data and all contact with Dr. Connor-Lees was lost. His present condition and whereabouts are unknown.
Jerry is an outstanding scientist, a brave man and a true friend. Personally, I have not given up hope that the experiment will prove to be successful and that I will see my friend again.
I do not know who will receive this transmission or of what help it will be but the attached data-packet contains the complete MSD log up until contact was lost. I hope it may prove of some use to the survivors of Earth.
